This morning I wrote my 2/4 exam for this first semester of my last year of undergraduate studies. That's a lie, it's not my last year because I plan on going back for an additional 2 years to complete another degree in education. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here...
I can't even process that this semester is done, I think because I'm right in the thick of it right now. Studying one day at a time, and hitting the gym when I can. I can't wait to go home on Wednesday and see family, friends and Kyle!!
We have to do a TON of Christmas shopping still to do, in a few short days. Good thing I'll be done school so that I can brave all the crazy people at the mall. Every year I do this to myself, I mean sure I buy a few things here and there...but the majority is left until last minute! I have some awesome gifts planned, but to avoid spoiling them I won't mention them on this blog post :(
Anyhow, I hope all of you are having better luck/preparedness than I am in the area of Christmas shopping. I look forward to the Christmas season more than any other holiday. It's not the gifts or the long procrastinated that I love, it's seeing my family. Being away from home during college has made a significant impact on how important it is for me to see my family as much as I can...as I mentioned in a previous post, this Christmas is really different because it's the first time I'm away from them. Oh soon to be married life, what challenges you bring.
It's also celebrating the birth of baby Jesus that captivates me every Christmas season, during the year I get so busy especially at this time when exams are piled on... The advent time is one of my favourite times to slow down and reflect on the awesome story of the birth of our Saviour.
So may you be eager to love those around you, not forget the things that you are blessed with and rest well in this busy time.
