About Us

My name is Heidi, and this is my blog.

Where: We tied the knot on May 4, 2013 in Saskatoon, SK. My husband Kyle and I, our son Nathan, along with our dog Onyx call Edmonton, AB home these days.

Her: I graduated in April, 2013 with my BA of Music; I currently work in a small office am on maternity leave running my head off as an administrative assistant/payables clerk. I can best be described as outgoing, talkative, organized, and extremely sarcastic. I am a huge coffee and tea snob, have a secret love for trashy reality tv shows, like our dog more than people often times, and no matter how long I've lived somewhere I still have absolutely no navigational skills.

Him: He graduated in April, 2015 as a Civil Engineer. He currently works as a Project Manager, and loves what he does. Kyle can be described as laid back, kind, driven, and slightly weird as most engineers are. (Can you guess who's writing this?). Kyle is also a coffee snob, not nearly as much as his wife- though he tends to drink a lot more of it. He also loves our dog, and tolerates his wife's crazy television addictions. He has the BEST navigational skills, and is pretty much a walking GPS.

Onyx: We adopted Onyx on our anniversary, in 2014. She is a two year old border collie/american staffie. We adore her, and spoil her more than we should. She is crazy hyper, incredibly smart and loves to cuddle. Her not so nice habits include chasing everything on walks, and jumping on people... it's a work in progress. If you don't like her, we probably won't be friends... Kidding, not kidding ;)

Nathan Lucas: We welcomed our first son into the world on March 3, 2016. He is the light of our lives, and we couldn't be happier or more lucky to be his parents.

This blog was started as a journal for myself, to record the journey we were on as we planned our wedding! Now that that has come and gone (04.05.13), it will remain in order to continue our story, and document our first pregnancy (EDD 03.16) and now life with Nathan! We've settled in the West back to Kyle's home city, have found a wonderful place to call home (for now!) and are so very much in love.
