"Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything" -George Bernard Shaw
It's been quite some time since I've written- and lots has happened. Our lives have been so chaotic, that I haven't felt ready- or settled enough to sit down and write. Which is silly, because I find writing (even on this blog space) cathartic, and enjoyable!
First things first, is Kyle has graduated! Whoo hoo!! Words cannot begin to describe how incredibly proud I, and everyone in our families/friends are of this accomplishment. He hasn't technically convocated yet, so keep your fingers crossed that process goes smoothly (transcripts being accepted and such forth).
Right on the heels of said graduation comes (previously mentioned) moving. Right now, things are still in the works- and I don't want to say anything too soon. Regardless of what happens, we will be staying put until the end of the summer. We are praying for a certain opportunity to work out, and will most likely have more answers by the end of the week. I know that no matter what happens, God is good and we will be faithful and serve Him no matter where we end up.
Other changes that are happening, in a bigger scheme is our province, (Alberta) has elected NDP as the majority power for the first time in (just shy of) 44 years; previous to that it was Progressive Conservative. There are many changes, and one thing I will say that I am proud of is- Alberta has the highest percentage of women on caucus! That is awesome.
Well, that's quite a few things to bring you up to speed in our little lives. Work is going well for me, and continues to be busy- so no complaints on that end. I am once again looking forward to our summer, both for old things and new ones. Old being, the things we do every summer- camping, heading out to the family cottage in BC, and tons of outdoor time. New being, a trip to Vegas this August with a girlfriend, a family wedding and of course the changes mentioned above. Summer reminds me to approach change with a positive attitude, there is so much life going on around- and it brings in a new season for us so well.
I'll be trying to blog more often in these upcoming weeks. Keep your fingers crossed, and prayers lifted for the right opportunities to align for us ;)
Happy Monday, sweet readers.
xo Heidi
