Monday's are hard for me. I loathe mornings in general, but after a weekend of little to no scheduling and sleeping in, snapping back into the routine of work days is tough. I had a great weekend of my mom and grandma coming for the weekend to visit- it was just what I needed. We laughed, shopped, did the neighborhoods annual garage sales- it was a sweet time. It's tough having Kyle out of town, but I know that this is only for a season and it too shall pass. I can't believe this fall will be his last year of school! I'm so proud of my husband for all the hard work he has done so far, and I know that he will complete his schooling in an excellent manner! (I cannot WAIT for him to graduate though, that's for sure so that we can move on to the next "phase" of life!).
Onyx has been settling in really well (minus the obedience class disaster). We are going to try a couple different routes with her, private training etc. I'm really enjoying the nice summer weather and having her makes it so that I get to enjoy it several times a day for walks! (Glad Kyle will be home in the winter to do those walks haha!).
We have been trying to schedule all our fun summer things in. It's tough with work schedules though, and having Onyx. We have a wedding July long weekend that we are looking forward to- we also might make it down to Dallas again this summer if things align. One thing that I'm REALLY looking forward to is planning a cruise for next spring. Kyle and I are planning on going with my best friend K and her boyfriend. We haven't decided where yet- or what cruise line... but I've definitely been looking! None of us have been on a cruise before, but there seems like SO much to do; both on the ship and when you port.... If any of you readers have been on one before, any advice for this newbie? Did you love/hate a particular cruise line, what things should I know before booking?
Besides that our summer is pretty mellow- which is ok with me. I really need to kick my butt into getting more active. Ugh so tough!! Here are my weekly goals (below). Hopefully I can get them accomplished. I've been inspired by other readers weekly goals lately, and I hope that because they are more short term that they can be more attainable:
- Work out at minimum 2X this week
- Make a list of people that we are putting wedding albums together for
- have breakfast every day and try to have healthy meals
- play with Onyx as much as possible
- Dust the house and keep on top of keeping things tidy
- Start a sewing project: (probably will be black out curtains for our bedroom, because I cannot sleep with all the summer sun!)
Phew I think that's all the goals I can handle right now. I'll try my best to check in next week and see how I made out!
Happy Monday, happy week sweet friends.
