Love with coffee in hand.: green with envy

Jealousy is a tricky thing. It slips in so quickly, and it is unforseen- consuming your thoughts before you realize its presence. I've been struggling with jealously lately. It's so easy to see the things that others have, especially when those things are what you desperately want! Right now, I'm jealous of friends who are doing things that I want to be doing. It's friends who are having babies, starting their families. It's friends who are moving to their ideal location and finding their dream home. It's friends who have (seemingly) endless amounts of money.

But there are so many wonderful things that we DO have right now. Right now, we have the ability (or most times) to do what we want and whenever we want. If we wanted to do an impromptu camping trip, a late night movie, or like we did last night a crazy scavenger hunt all over the city- we can. We don't have to think about anyone else besides ourselves. We only have our owns wants and schedules to think about- that certainly won't be the case when we have children =)

We have a wonderful apartment that we are blessed to live in. It's in an amazing neighborhood, that I feel incredibly safe and "at home" in. Budget wise, we are doing well because of where we live and I know that we could have been paying a LOT more in rent than we are now.

We are still so very blessed from our wedding. We recieved so many wonderful gifts that we would have never been able to afford. I take this forgranted so often, and I am trying to remember how lucky we really are.

We have two cars that work, are great on gas and get us where we need to go. It could be worse. Like a lot worse. When I complain about my commute to work, I need to remember that we could not have a car at all and I could have a commute that is double the time with public transit.

We are able to still do "extras". I'm starting to get into a new hobby, sewing! I start classes this Saturday and I'm soooo pumped. We have dates out and go camping tons in the summer which is one of our favourite things to do.
