First, I graduated this past April with my Bachelor of Arts in Music. I am so unbelievably proud of myself for accomplishing this HUGE feat. Let me back that up by saying that I definitely would not have made it without: the strength of God, who, many times answered my tear filled prayers in crazy ways. That's the God I serve, one who is bigger than me and so much more in control than I could ever handle.
I would also be lost without the quiet, strong support of my (now) husband! Yay, I love that word... so beware, in these future post's I'll be dropping the H word like nobody's business. He always encourages, listens, loves deeply and reminded me to keep my eye on the finish line. Thank you Kyle for being my best friend, I'm so glad that I get to call you my husband and wake up to you every single morning.
Close friends at school helped me more than they will ever know. My roommate was awesome, and always knew when a subway or starbucks run would make the day a little more bearable. Another close friend, always had time for a quick chat over coffee (I think she may be the only person who is fussier and loves coffee more than myself!) and knew just what to say when I was at my breaking point.
I will miss this part the most, not the papers or assignments and certainly not the stress... but the bosom friendships (thank you Anne of Green Gables), the ones that have deeply shaped the woman I have become in these last four years. *Oh, and sidenote, the three folks I've mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg haha, there have been SO, SO many more wonderful friends who have walked alongside me and loved me despite my sarcastic ways. I think if I posted on all those people, it would take a month to write out how much everyone has meant to me and even then I wouldn't cover it all.
So, that's it for now folks. I'm back! And I've missed writing so much.. I can't wait to tell you more about:
-Our Wedding Day! Basically, the best wedding EVER... No word of a lie.
-Our Honeymoon in Cuba: So amazing, so relaxing!
-Our new apartment...which we just about are settled into. I've refused to put up pictures until we get the zillion boxes and bags of garbage out haha.
-My new job, as a barista at Starbucks. This is real life folks... four years, a degree and I'm making coffee. Damn good coffee I might add, seriously though I get free drinks and it's an awesome company so I can't be too sad.
-Marriage, yup... I'll share my "I've been a wife for only a month" and learned so much already advice. Great.
I think that's enough for now. So if you've made it this far, basically reading my personal review on this whirlwind...Kudos.
xo - Heidi
