On to greener pastures...

So in light of finding anything to do instead of studying... I decided I needed to get a juicer. This was also due  to the fact that my body has been hating itself, and *tmi: I've been super bloated and gassy lately due to all the crap I've been eating, such as TONS of subway and way too many carbs! Ok, just ignore that and keep reading :)

I didn't want to spend a ton of $$, so I just looked at a couple online reviews and decided to get the Hamilton Beach Centrifugal (wide-mouth). So far here are my thoughts:

1) It takes a LOT of greens (kale, broccoli, spinach) to get out juice, but not a lot to have the taste overwhelm.
2) Carrots are great, and sweeten the veggie taste of your recipe.
3) Juicing in the summer will be much nicer when farmers markets are in full swing, fruit is in season and cheaper.
4) Definitely buy a juicer that is dishwasher safe and easy to clean!

It's a big difference from picking up your local jug of tropicana, but tonight I had:

1 apple
4-5 big leaves of kale
2 large carrots
3 strawberries

That made about a glass, and look how much is packed in that baby!

My first time juicing!! So excited!

Juice on friends, any recipes that you love?
