mask me up. tone me over.

Oh summer, how I love it. I love the long hot days, the cool(ish) summer nights and all the fun festivals that happen in the city. Something I do not love is how oily my skin gets, and how I would LOVE to be make-up free but my skin just does not co-operate.

I want to share this awesome mask/toner DIY at-home-version that I found on this wonderful blog! Check it out for more details, but here's the basics.

Mask: The Burning Face Mask *not recommended for sensitive skin, if you have s.s leave the lemon juice out!

1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp honey
2ish tsp lemon juice.

**Mix together and apply for 10-30 mins (or as long as you can stand the burn!)
**Do not use more than 3X a week! (I'm going to start with once or twice a week and see where that gets me)

Toner: 1 part water, 3 parts apple cider vinegar. Easy, peasy...vinegar squeezey!

I'm looking forward to trying this for toner, as many toners just dry, dry, DRY my skin out. I'll do a 2 week update, so check back or better yet DIY :)

ps: this mask is recommended for acne scar fading, which I am so on board with!
pps: when I am brave I will post a before/makeup free picture.
